Cost of a Website Theme

How much do you usually pay for a theme if you don't get yours free? What's the maximum you would pay? Do you think there is much of a difference between free and paid styles? And, which do you think would make a forum look better overall?

$35 seems like the average price. I feel it's reasonable. Well, designers gotta make a living.

However, anything up to $100 could be worth it. Of course, if you're using free forum software, you are especially getting a deal even if it's a lot.

The least I have paid was $25 and the most was $60. I find that WordPress themes are at the higher ender and forum themes (think Xenrofo) are on the cheaper side. The most I would spend or be willing to spend on a theme is $75 but I REALLY have to like it and it needs to have a good support base around it. Not something that will just be dumped in a year or two.

The maximum I have paid for a website theme is about $60. I think I might pay upto $100 for as theme for ecommerce site. However, I rarely use paid theme, I mostly work on free themes.

The last forum project that I worked on with a my partner, what we paid for the forum's theme was $40 if I remembered correctly. The theme was very much worth it and that was why we never had any problems with paying that amount of money for the theme. On a side note, I will never pay $100 for any of my forum's themes.
