Do you think a big volume of articles for your blog is the way to success? If you have thousands of articles you will get more traffic, plus more keywords to rank for. In turn, you should rank higher in Google.

I would say that is very true. Every post or contribution you make towards you blog increases the likelihood of getting continuous visitors. Not just regular visitors, but visitors who will look forward to all your blog posts.

I think it can be a double edged sword. I think as long as you are putting out quality articles then it's great. The problem is when you look at volume, a lot of the times quality slacks off a lot and articles tend to get published that are just marginal. It might not hurt you, but then again it could.

I think Nasty makes a good point. When you are looking at volume you may be getting your articles from a lot of different writers and you will have to check each one for quality. Sometimes that is not always possible and some fall through the cracks. I think it is better to go for quality than quantity in today's world.

I see your point and how it could turn out to be a negative thing. I guess if you are going for volume you had better make sure the quality is there. I think for now I'll just stick to writing quality articles and not worry so much about the volume I am putting out.
