One thing I'm always interested in is seeing how other people work with their content. I was setting up an e-mail newsletter for my job this morning and it got me thinking, how do people decide what is THE newsworthy item or items that go into the newsletter and out to the world?
For me in my day-job, it's important the news we put out reflects the different areas of our business. When it comes to the online side-hustle however, I like to stick with a metrics based approach. Is this content already performing well? If so, that deserves a spot. I also look at the obvious ones, such as am I really wanting to push this particular piece of content? Is this an easy CTA to get people to tune into the newsletter? All that kind of stuff.
How do you choose your key content pieces? Any insight you could share?
