Comparing myself to others?

I also feel like it is much more important to compare yourself to the person you want to be and not those around you. I will say that it doesn't have to be unhealthy to compare yourself to others as long as it is more of a "well, I can do that too" type of view and not downing yourself compared to them. It is also important to be humble in life and realize that there is no way you can be the best at everything and realize that you will meet people better than you at certain goals, but it is your attitude and ability to focus on a positive outlook in life that matter most.

I'm doing the best that I can do right now. I'm happy with what I'm doing. Once we loath our doings for how well off someone else is, we lose precious time to enjoy what we're doing.

If that makes any sense.

I have once or twice fallen into the hole where I look at what others do in their lives and then look at mine and compare and I found that ended up making me depressed and it was not good for my mental health at all.

I have got better at ignoring others now and what they do and just focusing on my own life and I do feel my mental health is better for that.

Focus on what you can control is my motto in life.

TBH this is why I prefer forums over social media... I feel like ppl tend to be more their authentic selves. Whereas on social media ppl only share their glowing parts.
