Closing forum & starting blog

Will it be a wise choice in closing a current forum and moving to blog. Just want a opinion on it..

If the forum didn't work well or ran out of ideas. Will this be a good move.??

I guess starting a blog is a good idea. No matter what you will get good traffic if you have good content. Also you will be able to monetize a blog far easily compared to a forum!

I would say do what you want to, but stick to the idea.
