What’s the difference between classical and modern music?

Classical and modern music are two distinct genres with unique characteristics. Classical music is characterized by its use of orchestral instruments, such as violins, pianos, and cellos, and is typically more structured with a clear melody and harmony. In contrast, modern music often incorporates electronic instruments and technology and is more experimental in terms of its composition and structure.

As for me, I like to listen to a wide variety of music, including both classical and modern pieces. Each genre offers a different listening experience, and I appreciate them both for their unique qualities, so I do not prefer one over the other.

I like Classical Rock. I think music made before the 1980s is generally classified as Classical music.

I enjoyed listening to classical music. The ones by Micheal Jackson, Notorious B.I.G and the rest. I have nothing against modern songs by the way.

Not really big on old 1700's music. My dad and his wife used to listen to that for hours around the house and I can't say that I ever really enjoyed much of it.
