It could be really hard to manage money during the current times. This is why I am planning to sacrifice a lots of thing this month in order to balance things out. It is hard but it is definitely worth it.

I think that seasonal jobs are related to seasonal businesses as well. This is due to the fact that many people seek jobs in companies that conduct seasonal businesses more often than other businesses that manufacturers and sells many different kinds of products.

During the month of November to the start of January, mail sorting offices, amazon warehouses, retail environments, and many more sectors are booming with business due to an increase in demand with people buying their Christmas Presents. With an increase in demand, businesses need more staff temporarily, often hiring workers on zero-hour contracts temporarily while the demand remains high. I've worked at the Royal Mail, sorting mail in the sorting offices for two Christmas seasons. It's a great way to make extra money to help with the increased expenditure because of the need to buy Xmas Gifts!

What about you? Has anyone here been employed on a temporary contract for a seasonal job? Did you make any long-lasting friends? What were the primary duties, and what did you enjoy most about them? Was there anything you didn't like?

We have a lot of seasonal jobs here in my country. I think those kind of Christmas jobs is good for those who do not have work. People who have been working since the beginning of the year should take some rest.

Seasonal jobs also involve other kind of religious celebrations as well. I am a Muslim and i have also noticed that the sale of certain kinds of products also increase in our countries during traditional festivals and occasions.

Well, those products sell faster due to the fact that people need those products during those festivals. For example, many people need to store meat of slaughtered animals during the Muslim festival of Eid ul Adha. So, the sale of refrigerator increases a lot during such times.

I think that there are many people who tend to rely a lot on regular jobs rather than relying on seasonal jobs. This is because they know that they might lose the job once the season gets over.

If you don't have the skill normally you can hardly earn money from it, even if you can you are not going give them the best, I have never tried such kinds of business though.

I had a terrible experience with these kind of temporary Christmas jobs. A sit out inside a carnival site hired me to work for them for the period of the carnival which was one month. I served drinks and chewables to patrons. At the close of the carnival, I didn't see anyone of the officials of the sit out again. I was not paid a dime.

Well, I think that you should have had made a deal with the employer beforehand. It is much better to talk to employer about payment before you start working.

I am a Muslim. We do not celebrate Christmas. However, i have noticed that certain products are sold much more during certain Muslim seasons. The season of Ramadan is approaching and the sale of certain kinds of food items will skyrocket.
