Cash or Card?

When your about to make a purchase at a retailer, do you tend to pay with card or cash? Why? I use a visa debit card as it's easier to keep track of my outgoings are simply by scrolling through the transaction history. Most banks have a chargeback and dispute scheme which protects you as a consumer, too.
