What career opportunities do you think there are for people who study subjects such as anthropology, biology, history, and so on as opposed to people who study law, economics, business administration, and so on? If you studied, for instance, English literature, would you be "condemned" to teach it as a subject at a school?

The obvious would be teaching these subjects to other people. I think that tends to be where people end up because many of them are not areas where we need more people in. A lot of times, we have people come in from other countries (assuming you are in the US, same as me).

These are not profession that are only meant for teaching,in their cases they can work in ministries esterblished by government, and can also serve as reserch fellows in institutions or consultants in their field.

The truth is that there are some courses that do not have a lot of potentials. They are limited to certain jobs and most of the courses that you mentioned would end you up being a teacher.

Actually there are a lot of career in this world and any one studying always has that mindset that there's an opportunity coming for him in his or her aspect of career and that is true.

Every courses has its own career opportunity. Careers opportunities in vourses like biology, history, literature-in-english are not limited to teaching alone. For instance, in hospital, zoo, laboratory and others, the knowledge of the person who studied biology is required.

If you have a degree in anthropology, biology, or history, you can teach these subjects in colleges and universities. Teaching is the best career option for people who build their academic qualifications. You can also become a writer by writing on the subject you studied.

There are already many people who are working s a teacher in such kind of fields. So, I reckon that it would be a really big challenge to get a job in case if you plan to work as a teacher. However, you may also start teaching online if you think that teaching is the only thing you could do. There are many platforms where you can get paid to teach history. Preply is one of the best platforms where a person could get paid for teaching history.
