Capital Punishment

What is your opinion on Capital Punishment? Is it justified for extremely severe crimes? Is it the easy way out?

Life sentences are the best way for murderers. I mean, the state killing people for any reason - other than self-defense, and really they should be using rubber bullets or something, is simply barbaric - and shows they are no better than the murderers they are executing.
