Can you even buy .gov domains?

Most hosting providers don't allow hosting I tried most of them they say the domain is unavailable as simple as that.

it means that you cannot buy a .gov domain and do not put the hosts in such domains because they are strictly for governments and it is considered illegal to own it as a normal individual.

It is not a question of illegal some domain extensions require additional legal papers to be used like:.UK, .US,.FR and even also .GOV.

I am very sure those type of domain are related or even own by government, I will prefer other doiman like .com and .io,so that problem will not arise as the result of anything or the other.

Do some research before you say something, No individuals can buy a dot gov domain, it is only reserved for governments. Only government can by gov domains for their agencies and departments.

This can only happen in the past when .gov domain name extension is still good for search engine optimisation ranking. I don't think I can buy it anymore because it will be of no use to me.

I don't think it is possible to buy a government domain because they always differentiate themselves from private sectors and a government domain is for only official activities.
