Internet is no more luxury, it is an essential item. Even though internet was basically developed for communication, it is now a tool to access information, learn, as well as earn. You can use internet to find work opportunities as well as work on internet based jobs (online jobs). For a starter, it might be tough, however, if you have professional skills and if you are persistent, you might be able to earn decently. Therefore, world wide web can tackle unemployment issues.

One of the major issues with working on world wide web is related to the cost of internet. In many developing countries, internet continues to be very expensive. Some online tasks might not even recover the money people might be spending on internet. Another issue is slow connection. In many countries, internet speed is slow, especially in rural parts of the developing countries.

If you focus on high paying tasks, you might be able to make good money online. But the main requirement is having high paying skills.

The problem with online jobs, or for that matter any job, is market saturation. Unless it's a booming market, you're having to compete with others and a lot of them have big advantages.

Why do you think Internet cannot fix the unemployment problems? My arguments are based on the rise of hustle culture, gig working, and remote working. Platforms like Upwork and Fiverr are no just earning sites, they are publicly traded companies.

I'd say that in this day it is becoming harder to make decent money from the internet. There are a lot of people who have jumped onto the bandwagon, resulting in competition.
So while the internet has been able to solve the problem of unemployment to an extent, it cannot completely eradicate it.

We are not talking about eradication of unemployment, this is not going to happen. However, one of the main issues of unemployment is lack of appropriate skills. Most people just don't have the skills fr the jobs that the market demands. Many people are trying to make money on niches that are highly competitive.

I've not seen that online jobs pay that much so you actually are better off with a restaurant or supermarket job. In fact, even math tutoring at the college level doesn't pay much offline and online, unless you have incredibly high ratings etc..

Of course, though, if you spend outside rich nations, the money is worth more, so that's a big factor.
