Can corruption be fought via transparency?

Yes, transparency can help curb corruption buy just as you said, it isn't the only measure.
Zero tribalism, nepotism, equity and all are also measures that can help curb corruption to the barest minimum.
If human beings are not willing to change their mindset, there is nothing being transparent can do when it comes to stopping corruption in the world. Rather by setting up bodies that will investigate corruption and bring the culprit to justice will go a long way in solving this problem.

Do you think corruption can be fought with transparency?

To a limited degree, I think it is possible. But that shouldn't be the only thing that should be done to help fight corruption.

Are there no bodies whose duties are to investigate culprits of corruption?

There are several bodies charged with the responsibility of investigating corruption but how far have they been successfully in doing that? They are also filled with corrupt personnel that will still take bribe from who they are supposed to persecute.

I think transparency will go a long way to curb corruption.
If our political leaders are sincere and transparent to the masses...corruption will be curtailed to a large extent.
Honestly, a lot of things are going sideways in this country because the government and even we as human Jeep trying to cover up or make up for our lies but if we're were to come clean, it would really help understand what the problem is and how we may solve it.

Of course that is the perfect way you can ever fight corruption to a stand still. Through transparency. But how easy do you think that can ever be achieved with the way humans are?

Most times corruption is endemic,it is sometimes a reflection of the environment, things that they condone would be evudently displayed in the lifestyle of the people.

Most time corruption is as a result of greediness and when everybody is free and fair and people are transparent in any condition then we can fight corruption with transparency because it helps us build a society

Yes when there is transparency corruption will be reduced to the barest minimum. This is so because people will be able to probe and question conducts and transactions, there will be no hiding place to cover up things.

100%, corruption can be fought via transparency, although it's an option to choosing to fight it. Corruption can as well be use to fight corruption.

Yes ..it can but not completely. Holding individuals accountable for corrupt practices and making them face sanctions is more effective.

You are right. Corruption can be reduced to a certain level by transparency but it can't only be solved by transparency. Others methods have to be put in place to reduce corruption.

I think the issue of corruption can be tackled if the mindset of those involved in carrying out their responsibility should be changed, because the issue of corruption is a mindset, and if you do not change the attitude and mentality of the individual, then nothing will change.

This would help but I believe this is still not enough to fight corruption out completely. So many things must be put in place and corruption fighting organisation in each countries must step up their strategy to effectively eliminate corruption

Yes , even though it cannot be completely eradicated. But it can go a long way to a void like lose or stealing or corruption of any sort of others are paying a very close attention to adherence to code of conduct.

Building systems in which it is going to be clear out what everybody is doing and how every amount of money is spent is one step to tackling corruption in every society.

Of course transparency is one of the most important attributes to fight corruption anywhere. If it is in a government, every government worker must be transparent in whatever they are doing in order to ensure accountability.

That's the first route to fighting corruption - being transparent which emphasis must be made on that it must begin from the top echelon to win the trust of those at lower levels and encourage them to do same.
Without being open, we're fighting a lost war against corruption

If this is the only way of fighting corruption then a lot of people will still be corrupt. This might help to some extent but the best way in which corruption can be defeated effectively is to offer death punishment to people that practice it. It is so annoying because our country could have been a better place but because of corruption things are becoming quite difficult and we as a citizen and not being taken care of by the government... Not only that they are wasting away the future of Nigeria.

Transparency is one of the best things. One of the biggest problem is that many scam companies are not transparent and this is why they turn out to be scams.

I don't think giving death sentence is the best way to fight corruption. No matter what you do some people will continue to be corrupt and that's the fact. Even in developed countries there are corrupt people. I'm not condoning corruption, but technology can be used to fight corruption.
