Buying and Selling Forums

So far I have sold one forum and bought one forum. The one that I sold fetched me a good price. The one that bought cost me a nominal amount. I am running a couple of forums and if I get a good price, I might sell some of the forums I am running. Have you tried selling your forums, have you ever bought forums? Do you think buying and selling forums is a good way to make some profits?

Personally have no desire to sell any of my current sites.... they each hold an interest for me... and honestly, I set them up for my benefit initially and if others get use from them.. great.

I've never bought or sold a forum. I've been curious of the advantages of it, and have put some consideration into it, but never actually did it. I can see how it previously could have been profitable, I don't see it necessarily profitable now a days though.

I've never done either and I don't think I ever plan to sell my current forum, which I'm not even 100% sure if that would be against the forum software TOS or not. I also don't have much use in buying a forum due to a lack of funds and the fact that I like to build forums from the ground up.

I've never bought nor sold a forum before. If you get a decent forum for a good price it can be worth it though. I don't wish to sell my current community, and I'm not sure if there will ever be a time where I'll sell my sites. I wonder if it's worth purchasing a few forums and merging them all together? Not that I'm in the market to purchase a site or anything, I'm focusing on the ones I've got and I don't even have the money to purchase a forum.

I sold a math forum. I regret it now, but I got nothing against the buyer. I was just having a rough time then financially.
