Books VS Technology

I personally think Books are better that Technology because a book is cheaper than a piece of technology and you can lose your mind while reading. You can also learn and expand your language by reading books. Books generally more portable than technology because it's lighter + Smaller. What do you think is better, Books or Technology?

I normally use my phone. Especially whne I'm traveling, I don't want to carry a bunch of books, so I just keep them on my phone instead.

Do I have to choose? Really? I guess it depends on the situation. Am I trapped on an island or something? Then I will probably choose books because technology tends to run out of batteries. lol

I'm a big book reader, and I firmly believe reading is a good, helpful thing to do. However, as already mentioned, it's easier to carry around a cell phone, ipad, or small laptop. Not to mention, you can read books with technology. You could read a book on your ipad, your computer, your kindle? or whatever it's called. Can't think of the correct name. XD

Something else to remember, some people don't have the best eyesight. It might be easier on them to read via a tablet/computer where they can zoom in and the screen is lit up.

Like Arariel, I am a big book reader so naturally I am going to prefer a book over technology. I enjoy an actual book over reading on a tablet. To me, there is nothing better than that new book smell. That and being able to get lost in the story.....there is nothing better to me.

The only reason I'd use a tablet or something like that to read is if I did a lot of traveling. Then I could carry a lot of books with me at once without taking up a lot of room in my luggage.

I will always prefer books over newer technology. There's nothing more calming and soothing than sitting in front of a fire with a cup of hot cocoa and a good book. I love reading.

I feel that both have a time and a place. For example I will often read books, I love the smell and how engrossing they can become, but I also love technology. So for me its a happy equilibrium of balancing books with technology

I'm on computers most of the time, so a paper book is a nice treat. However, though, I can see why people would favor technology. It can be handier and less expensive. In fact, some of my math books in college were e-books.
