When I go hiking, there is a couple who are avid bird watchers. They always carry binoculars and cameras with them, and I've even seen one pull out a book about birds.

Can you tell your local birds apart from one another? I have lived in the area for 10 years and still don't know all the variety of birds!

We get a lot of birds where I live but aside from the pigeons, seagulls, and the doves, I couldn't tell the difference between any of the others.

It is nice to look out of the window especially when I am working though as my PC is in the corner of the room and the window is near me and to see the different birds that we get that tend to hang around the area, we do get a lot of different ones.

Bird watching is an interesting hobby and I wonder how people can spend so much time on it. I would rather prefer a pet which I can cuddle and play with.

I have seen people go for bird watching, but that is something that I don't even consider relevant to be doing. I would rather focus on doing other recreational activities instead of going for a bird watch. I guess that is why I don't know all the birds that are in my location.

My yard isn't too far from the woods. There are many birds coming to my yard. I had to purchase a bird feeder for them and keep food for those birds. They are lovely creatures, I would love to keep one of them as a pet.

Unfortunately, hiking is not one of my favourite way of working out. I don't get into just sitting down watching birds. Although, I have been to the zoo several times and I've seen some exotic birds but I haven't really seen it as something that appeals to me often for me to go after looking for it.

I can tell some birds apart, but I can't identify them all. I know a few from my area like Robins for example, and I know we have Hawks and Eagles around here sometimes.

I think bird watching would be relaxing though.

My wife and I like to attract birds to our yard for the cats and for use to enjoy. We mostly just go for song birds and humming birds. I don't have any interest in going around trying to spot any.

If you are staying around a place where the noise level is low, then bird watching is a good step that you should take. Getting to sit and watch how they live their lives can be fun as far as I am concerned.

There are humming birds that usually comes around to sing early in the morning at my place. They sing very well, I will admit that because I find their songs very soothing. As for going around to spot birds, that's way out of my schedule. I wouldn't be able to do it now.

It can be a good way of relaxation if you find doing that very interesting. My uncle sits in front of his yard every evening watching birds do their thing in the big tree across his hard. He enjoys doing that but I find it boring.

I used to hunt birds with my peer group when we were still kids. We used catapults to hunt them and I have been able to kill at least 3 yellow birds, those ones that comes out during corn 🌽 season.

What did you do with the birds you killed with your catapults? It wouldn't be that you had them disposed I hope? Birds that are trying to feed, ended up being killed. I feel bad for them.

I like birds, but I have never undertaken an excursion just to observe them, but I can differentiate some birds from my local fauna, for example, crows, blackbirds, canaries, pigeons, gulls, goldfinches, and some more.

You have to be truly passionate about birds to spend your time observing them, they are fascinating animals.

I used to catch pigeons when I was still a teenager. There was a market where we usually sell them for a few change 😂. I know that this is something that's against the law in some countries. Take for instance, in London, you can't catch pigeons in the park without the cops picking you up.

Yes, I have also seen this in reports from other countries, I saw a person in India or Pakistan, I don't remember exactly, who caged birds and went to the tourists to tell them that if they wanted him to free them they had to pay him, and the tourists in most of them paid because they didn't ask for a very high amount either.

It is a very good way to get money from tourists because it is the kind of things that they have never seen before in their own part of the world. This is why whenever they come across such things in countries where they went for tourism, they will always be interested to explore how it happens.

I also had trouble telling different birds apart at first. I thought about getting binoculars, but then I found the best monocular online, the SVBONY SV45 10-30×50 Zoom Monocular. It's excellent for looking at birds.

This monocular lets you zoom in from 10X to 30X to see birds up close. It's easy to focus, and you can change how much it zooms to get an unmistakable look at the birds. It's solid and waterproof, which is excellent for taking on hikes. The only thing is it can't be used at night, but for daytime use, it's perfect. It's helped me learn and enjoy the birds around my area.

I like birdwatching. A few miles away from my home there is a national park which is well know as a bird sanctuary in the countrk, and I like to go there frequently.
