Betting as a business is not wise. Invest your money into something else. There are two sides of the coin in the game or as you have said business of betting.

First, if you are among the board of directors, you are saved. Because you are only in charge of the organization of the betting process, taking money from other bettors and keeping the game running smoothly.

The second side of the coin, does not seem fair to me. The bettors keep betting and paying money to win, but never get to win for once. If you are a bettor I encourage you to quit that business and do something better with your life.

I do not think that betting can be a form of sustenance or a source of living. There are many risks involved in it and you can easily loose your money. There are those who say that they are good in analysis and predicting results, especially in cases of sports betting. It can be great if the analysis turn out to be correct but I don't advise anyone to use betting as a source of income. It is best to look for more stable and less risky ways of earning money.

I wouldn't count betting as a form of investment. Yes it shares some characteristics with some investments but in reality it isn't. It just a scheme that people without credible means of earning engage in to see if they can make something reasonable.

Betting is basically gambling. And there is high risk of loosing your money.
I advice people that like to gamble to always gamble only an amount of money they can afford to loose.

This is because loosing a significant amount of money to betting could drive one to depression and abject poverty.

Betting is a gamble but there is a business aspect of it. That's if you want to own a betting shop where gamblers come to play their games. And you pay if the win and if they loose you earn.

betting as a business is a very very good and profitable business, it yeaild lots of profits, that is if a person is trying to open a beating shop, with the rte at which people bet now, it is a very good business but in a situation where a person is betting, using cash for bets, it is not good at all, in fact it cannot be called a business, it is wasting in my own view, betting business is very good if the person involved is opening abetting shop.
