Best free forum software to install on cPanel?

I’m looking to just get a shared web host account, put Wordpress in one folder and a set of free forum software in the other, and get to work. I want something that is easy to skin to match the Wordpress front end and I want to run ads on the site eventually. What is the best option for this?

Namecheap is a domain registrar. I'm looking for free forum software. Something like phpBB, myBB, etc, an opinion on which is the best.

I have a wordpress site running on the main domain and phpbb forum running on the directory. I think phpbb or SMF serves your purpose.
