Kim Dotcom's new venture is baboom. It's a music service: http://torrentfreak.com/kim-dotcom-teases-new-music-service-baboom-130907/.

Unlike Spotify I think baboom takes over ads which are served by Google on your search results. That was the original intention anyway. What are your thoughts on the service?

I think he's going to be too late to the party. Spotify is used by most of my friends and people my age. It has a huge library of content too.

Interesting nonetheless. I agree with you that he is a little late. However, that don't mean it won't get just as big. That is of course, he can actually get other countries involved:wall:

I would like to know more on the idea of "I think baboom takes over ads which are served by Google on your search results".

users will install a browser plugin that replaces web ads with those from Baboom, paying surfers with cash that they can spend on songs. Typical users could earn 10 free albums a year through their browsing habits, Dotcom claims.
from http://www.engadget.com/2013/11/21/kim-dotcom-baboom/. I think he planned to replace all ads but because of webmaster backlash will not only alter those of big sites.

Wow I would not support that at all. Thats basically stealing from other website owners :/

One thing for users to block ads from sites, but its another to completely take profit off it.

We will have to see what he comes out with. I feel that Kim Dotcom is limited because of his reputation and that's why he can't start something similar to Spotify.
