Are you taking care of yourself? How are you doing?

These days things are tough for a lot of us. Here in the US, the cost of living is going up too fast. Food and necessities are increasing in price and jobs aren't increasing pay to match the market. We're just getting over the pandemic and I wanted to ask the community here how they are all doing. How are you all doing today? In life in general. Lets discuss just how your life is going, how you feel. And lets keep it PG and friendly in here.

I like this idea of allowing you guys to talk about your lives in here, as a way to maybe vent about your anxieties and frustrations too. But also a place to just tell us how each other is doing.

Seriously, it's never been easy down here before even before the world started facing the challenge it was with the current inflation. Most families don't eat 3 times every day. Some eat once or at most twice in a day. It's been hell on earth here for years and I can say that we are used to it now.

No matter how difficult it is, I don't compromise when it comes to taking care of myself. Ultimately, if I'm well, my body is healthy, I can do as much as I want, whatever I want. If I'm not able to take care of my body, why am I even working/earning lol.

I live with my parents, rent-free and I still don't have a whole lot of money since I'm always spending so much on food and drinks. But, the second job that I've been working at more frequently should help rebuild my income. I take care of my car, my hygiene, the few bills I have, keep myself attended to my hobbies, etc. It's a pretty simple life when you mostly have to worry about taking care of yourself.

Some years ago, I was living in my parents and it was very easy to get by because I very had to worry about paying rent. Unfortunately, I couldn't live with my parents for ever. Even if they wanted me to, I wouldn't accept it because I will struggle with being independent on my own if I stayed with them.

Also, I feel like I don't want to live alone and in the same sense, I don't really care to be in a relationship that much, which basically means I'd have to live with a roommate, which I did for one year of my life and it went so-so.

As long as you are still living with your parents ,there is always a possibility of them being the one that are going to take care of your responsibilities and even your feeding at some point. This is going to make it difficult for you to know exactly how it is going to be when it comes to doing it yourself. It is the reason why I had to make the decision to leave my family house when I was 19 years old.

Indeed, breaking habits and your way of living for a long time is a very tough thing to do. We all have insecurities and fears, but it takes one step at a time to break them. I suppose I need to set goals in life and strive to complete them.

Yeah, that's very correct. They say that a journey of thousands miles begins with a step. It's definitely going to be very difficult to take the first step but once you have mustered the courage to make it, the next one's are going to come to your way naturally.

Managing finances is not easy for me, however, I have some house and managed to pay my bills. My only issue is not being able to pay the loan. SInce I am only paying interest on my loan to avoid penalty, my loan amount is not decreasing so I have an outstanding debt.

Exactly! No one is going to take care of you but you. It's why it's very important to make taking care of yourself a priority. When something happens to you that's health related, it's all on you to fix it. When you don't or can't, it's you that's going to suffer bigger. Those who doesn't take care of themselves are jokers in my opinion.

I've decided to take better care of myself now since I realized that life is really short. I want to live for my wife and my kids. I want to live so that I can enjoy my life. I went out and got my sleep apnea taken care of. I got a machine. I started taking vitamins and I started drinking more water.

Family is the most important thing in our lives. I believe that it is better for us to spend quality time with our families and take very good care of them because we get to live with them once. The moment this life is over, there is no way you can be able to connect with them ever again which is why it is always going to be better to take care of yourself so that you'll be healthy to spend quality time with your family.
