Are you a domain hoarder?

I am considering on trying a new tactic, just buying domains when they are cheap and in bulk and trying to hold them for 6months with some content, the basic stuff and sell them. Right now I got only 9 domains but I plan to add so much more. What do you guys think? Is it a good thing to do or should I just stick to site creation?

I have considered doing this a few years ago and looking back now and what is currently trending, I wish I would have. There could be some good that can come from it. There are times when a keyword just shoots up in value and you may be able to sell the domain for a good amount of money. I never looked into it too deeply though.

Currently, I have 12 domains and all of these domains are associated with websites. Therefore, I wouldn't call myself a domain hoarder. However, in the past, I had over 30 domains. I registered these domains in the hope of selling for higher price. I continued to hoard for many years without being able to sell them.

I do have a few domain names I'm currently not using. I know at least one of them I do want to make a project with, the other ones I'll probably end up trying to see if I can sell them.
