Are monopolies ever a good thing?

Well to most instinct monopoly is never a good idea most especially in our modern society to some extent it can be said it has a positive impact on the producer and then a negative impact on the citizens because they will ne left with no choice of decisions rather to comply to the producer.

Monopolies is not good, in the sense that they are ruling against your wish and as such being the only one having the thing you may probably need. So it is a must you pay at their tag.
