My husband has an iPhone 6 Plus and he introduced me to Apple Music today. I thought it was pretty cool how I could activate Siri and tell her "Play the number one song in October of 1987" and Whitney Houston's "Didn't We Almost Have It All" started playing. I was a bit disappointed to hear Siri say that the song wasn't available for streaming when I said "Play "Stand By Your Man" by Tammy Wynette. Obviously it still has its limitations. I don't have an iPhone so it's not a service that I'm really pushing him to continue to subscribe to after the free trial is over. I suppose I can use it on my iPad.

Anyway, what do you think of Apple Music?

I started my three month Apple Music trial. I'm impressed by it, and Apple Music has Taylor Swift. At the moment, I'm sticking with Spotify though. Spotify has a student discount, so I'm only paying $4.99 a month for it. I'm sure Apple Music will get better as time goes on though. If they continue to improve the service, I may eventually make the switch.

I also have the student discount for spotify, so if apple music isnt able to step up its competitive pricing, then I will likely stick with my spotify for now :)

I'm in the same boat as you. Apple Music has a much better family plan though. That's one good thing they have going for them.

True, I just never really got the point of a family plan, well unless you have kids and a wife or something I guess lol

To bring this topic back, I started using Apple Music a few months ago. I actually get a student discount as well as a few months free for being a student. I'm enjoying it a lot, I switched from Spotify and I think I enjoy Apple music more. Sure there's things Apple could work on, but they are a computer company, not a music company.

Unfortunately, Spotify only offers their student discount for a year. It's been over a year since I started using Spotify premium, so now I'm back to paying the full $10 price tag each month. I noticed a couple weeks ago that Apple Music offers their own student discount now as well, so I may eventually make the switch. Apple Music is looking more appealing everyday, especially since I'm an iPhone user.

I also own a Spotify account, but my dad pays the $15 a month for 6 family accounts so all my sisters and the rest of my family can enjoy. However I still put Apple music first :)
