Anyone been arrested in your workplace?

Though I have not worked in any workplace or environment where people are arrested but I have heard of a guy that works in a gambling house. He was arrested because he misused money meant for the company..

I have never hired anyone with criminal records. Therefore, there have been no arrests in my workplace. However, once I had to threaten my worker to get him arrested. Despite multiple warnings, he always showed up to work drunk and whenever he was drunk, he always took a fight with other workers.

No company would keep such a worker for long. If it's where I'm working, he won't last up to one week and he's going to get his sack letter. It may not be up to a week depending on the mood of my boss whenever he shows up drunk.

That is the reason why it is good to do a good profiling of your staffs before you engage them in your business. There are actually many people with questionable characters, those people should not be engaged..

If any worker is involved in any criminal activity in his workplace, it doesn't matter if he's working in a gambling and betting company, if the worker is found out, he won't escape being arrested. Criminals are meant to be arrested and jailed.

You are correct. Once a worker is found wanting or involved in fraudulent activity, he should be meant to account for all the wrong doing he has done..

I don't like it when people gossip about me. What I hate so much whenever they gossip is they would never have all the information but will hurl at a slight detail they come across and spreading it over like it's the only truth. Bad news are gossiped more than good ones. If you get arrested at work, some people will make videos of it and post it on social media.

There are many videos of people getting arrested and their co-workers made videos when this incident occurred. So, this is a quite common thing that may happen anywhere. The police may arrest you where ever they want. However, in case if you are proven guilty, then should they apologise for damaging your reputation? What do you think?

How can they apologise for damaging your reputation when it's proven you're guilty? If you're guilty, it's either you pay the damages or go to jail. Most people would prefer to pay for damages than go to jail unless they can't afford paying for the damages.

There are always consequences for every crime or offence committed at workplace especially if it involves financial crime and money meant for the company. Such crime usually attract arrest...

How can they apologise for damaging your reputation when it's proven you're guilty? If you're guilty, it's either you pay the damages or go to jail. Most people would prefer to pay for damages than go to jail unless they can't afford paying for the damages.

Well, in case if the person is not found guilty, then who will be responsible for the reputation of the person? Even if the person is proven innocent, the fact that he was arrested in front of all the people would still damage the reputation of the person in the workplace.

Nobody has been arrested where I used to work because everyone was of good behavior and character. It is always good for organization to profile people they employ in the company to avoid such things...

We have a story of a person who was scammed by such kind of criminals who used fake notes. Such kind of people should be arrested, even if they are working at some legitimate business.

I've seen so many of these fake currencies used in the market. The money minting ministry are supposed to stop these kind of money from being in circulation. Are they involved with those criminals who print such money? I will very angry if I'm paid with a fake currency.

No one has ever been arrested in my work place, except to be queried due to one misbehaviour or the other, a colleague of mine was once queried for always coming to work late.

Having any of your workers get arrested at your workplace isn't something that's going to look good for your business. Imagine when you have your customers around and that kind of thing happens, such customers will have double mind doing anything with your business.

I guess that I have been lucky not to let this kind of thing happen at my workplace. I ensure that things are done the right way and that has made it possible for most of the staff at my workplace to comport themselves and not have issues with customers or fellow staff.

The only way that I think something like this is going to happen to me is when I am being falsely accused of something that I don't know anything about and the police were involved in the case. It is most likely going to have them come to my work place and pick me up but I believe that whenever I get to the station and clear myself, I am always going to be released.
