Have you got a plugin or Javascript coding implemented to prevent users with Adblocker, accessing and using your website? I don't have a plugin or javascript to prevent users from using AdBlock, and they are free to use one if they wish. However, having such installation could deter potential new members and ultimately slow the website loading times down.

I have been tempted to use this but I feel like most people are using mobile and most don't use any adblockers at all. It was not worth the risk of slowing down my sites. I know when I go to a site myself that has something enabled that asks me to disable it, I just go to another site.

Myself, I don't want to argue with public opinion. It's kind of like these musicians who take action against people using free music downloads. I mean, if you can't beat them, then join them. Well, in that case, I figure the majority don't like traditional ads, so I would go for some other revenue like classified, bumped threads, etc..

I think that there are scripts that you can use in order to detect if there is an adblocker that is being used. What generally happens is that a message will come up in order to prevent the user from accessing the website until they switch off the adblocker. It is great. You should look into it, because i am sure that adblockers may be affecting the income of the forum.

There are so many of them that has been developed in the past but the problem is that new technology are coming out almost every day and web browsers are finding ways in order to override it.

I'm not interested in debating popular opinion.
Similar to these musicians who take legal action against those who obtain free music, in a way.
In other words, join them if you can't defeat them.
Well, in that scenario, I would choose for some other money sources, such as classified ads, bumped threads, etc., since I assume the majority doesn't like traditional advertisements.

I've been inclined to do so, but I believe that almost all consumers prefer cellphones and do not use ad blockers of any kind. The hazard of decelerating my websites was not enough to justify its application.

Most users don't make use of Anti Adblockers so i don't feel it's necessary to go through the stress of getting a plugin or JavaScript coding implemented.

I have not used any add on that reminds the users to allow ads, I cannot force anyone to view ads on my site if he or she does not want to. I respect the choice of the people for using ad blocker.
