Announcing Staff Promotions and their leaving

Do you make public announcements to your members when you hire staff, promote or when staff leaves? Has it ever caused any issues?

I like the idea of promotions and maybe a short post if they leave as long as it's not drama. If they stormed out of the forum, don't post that. Just mention they have left the team and that you wish them the best of luck.

What if they were fired?

Whenever I hire someone new to the forum I always announce it and ask members to join me in welcoming the new staff member.

If someone leaves or is fired then I tend to not announce it but if asked I will mention that they chose to no longer be part of the staff and that we wished them well.
