And here we are...again..

So, an Alabama Supreme Court Justice has decided to take it upon himself and enforce the ban on same-sex marriage by telling probate judges not to issue same-sex marriage licenses, and if they do, could be held in contempt of court. This conflicts with the supreme court's decision last year that allowed same-sex marriage in every state in the U.S.

Here's a news article on it:

So...thoughts? Does he have the authority to issue such an order despite what was ruled by the U.S Supreme Court?

They do have a case, I think. When the Supreme Court made the ruling earlier this year, they forgot one thing: the Constitution gives no right to marriage. Marriage is a state's civil right. With that being said; they can probably make some noise, and I hope they do get somewhere. I don't think they'll be able to actually overturn this and put it back into the state's hands for good, but they're at least starting.
