Afghanistan’s Economy after Taliban Takeover

Advertisement Placeholder
The Taliban, are a extremist / terrorist group and after 20 years of the UK and USA fighting this group, to protect the rights of Afghanistan’s citizens, this has failed and now the Taliban have declared victory of the war. I’m sure you would all agree that it’s tragic to see people rather risk their lives, clinging onto Planes to flee from the country.

My prayers are with the citizens of this country and those affected by the new government that forcefully made their way into power.

However, putting this all to one side for a moment, what will be the economic impact as a result of a new government?
Hmmmm.. This is a serious issue because their economic will drastically go down, imagine the covid 19 pandemic has really affect their economic and now this...

Obviously the fundamental effect of the economy will be obliterated, numerous Afghans pull out their cash from ATMs, with the goal that it will additionally upset monetary flow, particularly if the Taliban can't get to the money and gold stores put away by the national bank and unfamiliar banks like in America. The economy will be much more dreadful if America doesn't perceive the Taliban government so it will obstruct all global guide and subsidizing.

There will be inflation in the country since most countries will not want to trade with Afghanistan neither will they buy from them. High unemployment and dependants rate because women have been banned from working outside their homes.

It's hard for me to predict, because honestly speaking, I'm not very well informed on this argument. But anyway I ask: what's served this war lasted exactly twenty years (2001-2121)?

The sanctions are going to affect the country because of the Taliban taking over in Afghanistan because many countries will quit doing business with them because the Taliban are labelled as a bad group.
The economy has already taken a hit because of Taliban takeover of Afghanistan. The funds of the central bank of Afghanistan has already been frozen, economic sanctions have been imposed already from Western countries coupled with the present chaos that is present now.

The recent take over of the Afghanistan by the Taliban will be very severe on their economy just because of the fact that a lot of countries will cut economic ties with the country.

Taliban taking over the country would have a negative impact on the economic because many countries would not partner with them because of this.
Is this really what is trending now The taleban taking over Afghanistan but I know it will have a negative impact on the economy of the Nation.

Well we just have to wait and let the events come up to see how things will go. I believe that those who are trying to escape have a reason for their actions.

The effects of this new Taliban government that has taken over Afghanistan would be very catastrophic for the people of Afghanistan especially with the fact that the taleban does not have great economic advisors and managers who can't tell their country into a prosperous economic future.

I read in the news not quite long ago that the US government has frozen afghanistan's Central Bank and so this means that the Afghanistan government known as the Taliban can not make any economic impact in the country as all the money or all the instruments that they can give it to do that as supposed to be in their Central Bank.

personally I believe that war is something that should be avoided as far as the human life matters to anyone in the world so whatever is happening in Afghanistan I believe that should be over by now.

Of course it will because some countries will sanction them and this will have negative impact on the economy of the country leaving the masses to suffer.

Seriously, the truth of the matter is that whenever the government of your country doesn't really take care of its citizens by providing one that supposed to provide for them the entire country suffers in generality.

Indeed it is sad to see that Muslim religion has now been misinterpreted as a chaotic religion . The sad part of this is that these people have tutors. These tutors were once taught as well. Those who started the movement are the ones that have made these people what they are today

Being a Muslim myself, I believe that both Muslims and non-Muslims can co-operate with each other to get rid of these kind of extremists. In the year 2012, more than top level 50 Muslim clerics in my country condemned the actions of taliban. Extremists exist in every religion but that does not mean that religions are themselves bad. Religious texts can be interpreted in many ways and it is up to us how we interpret them. People like the Taliban are just interpreting the Muslim religious scriptures in a bad way just like some extremists who misinterpret the Bible.

When I first got hear about the news, I thought about my country Nigeria. With the way Boko Haram and ISWAP members are dropping their firearms and asking for forgiveness, it lives much to be desired. I can only suspect a foul play that may cost us someday. The was how the Taliban took over.

No doubt everything in the country will be in a topsy turvy at the moment not only the economy but how the economy and every other things will be now depends on the mission of the Taliban. There are so many controversies in the issue which requires calm and due diligence .

Like someone up there siad, there is a great difference between fighters or conquerors and managers of the economies. These two things the Taliban don't possess. How are the one going to run the economy?

I think their economy is heading for the dip, that is if it hasn't already. There is no potential growth for an economy operated and governed by tyrants.

I have seen it on the news how people try to ride on the big airplane to escape the trouble in Afghanistan. They fear for their lives if they continue to live in their country which is Afghanistan.
