A Question About Special Characters In Hashtags? #

When using hashtags on social network websites such as Twitter, Facebook, Google+, etc.. is a hashtag with a special character in it considered a different word / tag than the same one word / hashtag without the special character? or Are they just considered the same thing? For Example: Would posts with the hashtag "Pokémon" show along with posts with the hashtag "Pokemon"? or Are they 2 separate hashtags all together? (because of the special e / é)
