One thing with human beings is that their personality always spills into whatever they do. Someone who's bossy in life would most likely display such trait if he or she ever runs a forum.

Have you ever encountered any forum owner who's with a bossy character? How did it affect your time being a member in the forum? How long did you last on the forum?

You'll encounter one of these types of forum owners in your lifetime, maybe not on every forum you go to, but there are some out there where the site owner will be a ruthless jerk. It's not often though, as most forums don't last with a bad owner.

I have encountered someone like that and it was a very awful experience which I don't even give much attention to. On his forum, it didn't take up to 24 hours and he banned me from accessing the forum board and I never tries coming back to the community.

Frankly speaking, I have never encountered any forum owners who are bossy. I always have had a cordial relationship with forum owners. However, I have had some differences with members on a few forums, and in one of the forums I joined, I had a fight with the moderators and I left the forum even though the owner wanted me to stay on the forum.

I believe that a forum is equally as important as a contributors and as a contributor you can always meet with the founder to discuss how his behaviour is affecting people. Ultimately it is up to him to decide to change or not.

If forum owner proves too bossy it's just a matter of time before everyone vacates the forum. One of the best forum I've worked with and the best owner is bizdusry.com. No west saying, Alexander is really trying and a good boss for that matter.

This is something that is most likely going to happen in a long run or even a short run as long as the members are not treated with respect by the owner.

There is no way they are going to keep on being on the platform for a very long time especially when the person is not even paying the money to stay committed to the platform.

I honestly with all the forum owners I have dealt with I have never had any problem, I always try to be respectful in all the forums where I am, I try to contribute to the conversations and not make junk content or spam, I think that if the owner is a reasonable person and you follow the rules, there should be no problem, I've been a member of forums for a while now, and I've never really had any problems.

It is actually the same thing in most website where everyone follows the rules and regulation that guides interaction of every member with one another which makes it a healthy community for everyone to contribute and enjoy themselves at the same time.

Yes, sometimes you have to be tough with the rules, because as you say, this makes users stick to them, so as not to have problems or get banned and therefore creates a pleasant and cooperative environment, the fact is that we should not confuse in that he be strict or that he be bossy since there are differences, one is someone who looks out for the good development of his community and the other is a bully.

A positive and supportive forum owner fosters a sense of community, encourages constructive discussions, and creates a welcoming atmosphere for all participants. Instances of ruthless behavior are generally rare and often result in a decline in forum activity and participation.

When it comes to making sure that all the rules and guidelines of your community are followed to the latter to make sure that everything goes well doesn't make the person to be a bossy human being because he is actually looking out for his community in a way that is going to help it survive on a long run.

Most of the time, I am never cool with being on such forums. I mean, there is no reason I should enjoy being on a forum where the owner is bossy and doesn't let me express myself. I want a bit of freedom, and once the owner and mods are choking me with lots of controls, I will simply quit.

Exactly! They can take their forum or blog and shove it up their...you should know the rest of the word to complete the sentence. Someone wouldn't leave using social media platforms because of the same BS that's going on it to start using forums and he or she would met with the same madness.

If a forum owner is bossy, it's his business and if his bossy attitude doesn't get in my way, I wouldn't have any problems using his forum. The day he used his bossy attitude towards me in a way I don't like, it's going to be my last day of logging in the forum.
