Your fist gig!

What was your first gig like? How long was the set? Were you nervous? confident? both? Where was the concert held?

This is about Justin, a nephew who is an all-around musician. He plays the guitar, keyboard and drums as well. And not to brag, he recently graduated with a degree in the conservatory of music. But in spite of his credentials, he was so nervous in his first gig that he was able to drink several shots of whiskey that made him drunk after the performance. But now he is at home in performing on the stage although not professionally yet.

My first gig was when I was about 7 years old. I have this aunt who manages a band, then my other aunt would push me and my other cousins to join the bands practice just for fun. I was very confident that time so they decided to let me perform with the band during fiestas, making me the youngest singer in the group but for me it was just like playing and no worries. So technically I didn't get nervous for I really was enjoying every bits of the act specially the attention given to me.

Now I'm feeling nostalgic.
