Would you tell your friends and family to invest in your companies stock?

If you run a business or company and you have stocks available for it, would you ever tell your family and or friends to put money into that stock? Or would you rather not expose your family & friends to the stock market? I think it'd be cool to have a company with stock and your friends or family invest into it. Would you?

I do not own a company that is listed in stock exchange, I also do not own a private limited company where people can buy shares. I own a small solo ownership company, I have not asked anyone to invest but if someone shows interest, I would gladly accept a new partner.
