Would you rather rent your place of business?

Would you rather rent your place of business or outright own it? I know some business owners will often rent their property instead of buying it. Main reason why I think is because some business owners like to expand, and I know expanding on a rented property is not usually possible. So they rent until they can find a place of business that works best for the company.

Anyway, what would you rather do?
