So, would you fire inactive staff? Let's just say if your forum is not that active and you don't need their help all that much, would you still fire them if they don't visit your forum regularly?

As for me, I don't fire them unless they don't do their job properly. I don't think I need to fire someone when the website is already dying but if that's not the case, then yes I will fire them after giving dropping them at least three emails or so(by giving them time and informing them about their inactivity).

What about you guys? Would you do the same? Do you encourage staff to post more in your website, as a requirement? I don't think it's a good idea to force people to post. So, what are your thoughts on that?

The truth is that I do not see any reason why you should be keeping anybody connected to your business if it is not going to be contributing something important to the growth of the business.

Personally I think that's the best option to do. the major reason for employment is to be active in a particular job and since the employee is not active, there is no reason of retaining his presence.

The reality is that I fail to see any benefit in retaining someone involved with your company if they are not going to make a significant contribution to its expansion.

So long as their presence isn't bringing profitability, I can't keep them on that job. I'll have to notify them first though - working in a financial setting has made me realize that you have to ensure you don't spend beyond a percentage of what you make.

Actually all staffs has purnishement or rewards of thete various actions and purnishilment is the best for dishonest staffs and to some extent they can fired to avoid future occurrences.

It isn't good to force people to work on your website. It isn't also good to fire people from one's website even if the website is dying. One should just leave people to hang around the websites.

To tell you the truth, I can't afford to keep individuals working there as far as they aren't raking in money. I must first let them know, obviously, but it would be disingenuous to let them overstay their welcome.

Firing an inactive staff is on a good stand as far as I am concerned. Being inactive simply mean not working for long time, why should I allow room for laziness? No, at least if his inactivity is for a reason he should specify.

Actually I believe it's not a bad move to fired an inactive staff because the primary aim of his employment, is to be active and productive. as the manager, try find out reasons behind in inactiveness.

In as much as I have a staff in my website that's not active, first of all I have to make sure he has a genuine reason for not been active, if the complain Is not necessary, then I won't hesitate to fire him.

If you are paying your staff and if your staff becomes inactive, you have the rights to fire the staff. However, if you are not paying your staff and if your staff is doing voluntarily, what rights do you have to fire the staff? Beggers cannot be choosers.

I would not fire an inactive staff member because there might be many reasons why a staff member would remain inactive. I would rather choose an active member to become a staff member in the first place.
