Would you ever turn a hotel into affordable housing?

If you owned a hotel or motel or something, would you ever consider turning it into affordable housing? I hear in some states in the US, there are incentives where if you build affordable housing, it can benefit you, probably in taxes and fees and all that stuff. You'd still be paid rent I imagine, but it'd be more affordable for those living there.

If I am not generating good profits from the hotel or if I am making loss from the hotel, I think it is a wise decision to repurpose it into a living property. I believe it is easier to rent your residential property compared to get guests for your hotels
