Would you ever be an investor/Angel investor for a startup?

Would you ever be an investor or angel investor for a startup? For those wondering, an Angel investor is usually a wealthy person who is able to seed a project, but in return they usually get a cut of the company or royalties. Have you ever had an angel investor for a startup you were a part of? Would you ever be one yourself if you had the wealth to do it?

I have a desire to become an angel investor but not the capacity. IN order to become an investor, you need a lot of money, which I don't have. I understand not all projects you have invested your money will become profitable, therefore, you will have to invest in a lot of projects and for that purpose you need insane amount of money.

It would be interesting to do it, although as another member says, you should need a lot of money for this, maybe you can invest in less amounts through crowdfunding, but I'm not sure, what is clear is that if these investments work, the returns can be incredibly big, but so is the risk.
