I know several admins doing this from other forums and blogs. It's a good thing initially to get more new members and I am sure new folks would want to interact with others instead of just 1 -2 folks.

However, not many could keep on doing it as it would be like, just talking to yourself and you can't do that for a long time. Also, it would be a bit embarrassing if others came to know about you having multiple accounts either.

So, what abut you? Do you create multiple accounts in your website?
Would you make use of them continuously or would you abandon them when the activity picks up in your website?

at the beginning of the forum, creating of multiple account might help the growth of the forum but with time, it would begin to cause a whole lot of damages that you would need to stop at that time.

Actually I think creating multiple accounts in a single platform is just a sign showing how scammed the platform will be because alot of people will be willing to also create multiple too and that will lead to scammed.

I don't own a website currently, but i feel it's weird and stressful for one to create multiple accounts on one's website. One should rather just create a single account and make use of that one.

When it happens to be that I have site that I am running, I think there is any reason that will make me to create double account on the site. It's of no use.

Except I want to monitor some activities or be anonymous, I can decide to create a member account separate from my admin account but I'll ensure that I operate it constantly for as long as it's open.

I would not create multiple account on any website because it is totally prohibited to do so. I am a sort of person who always obeys rules of the websites and I never violate any rule.

Why go through this sort of stress as it can be over whelming, what I suggest is that you delicate this sort of responsibility to someone that you know is up to the task and can handle it

Creating multiple accounts for self owned domain is not a idea and it's somewhat awkward, a form of cheat. I don't encourage such habit,if you really want a well developed domain then work hard and build members forum in a legit way.

I don't think creating multiple accounts is a good idea .
I believe that if you are having only a single account, it would be more secured and less susceptible to attacks.

I don't think being safe is the real worry here because you're the owner and will have some measures in place to counter these attacks or hacks; the real issue lies with management of such accounts.

As the owner of a website, creating multiple accounts to give the impression that you are generating more traffic for the website than you actually are, is not ideal under any circumferences. Also, the management of all these accounts that you have created would be suspect by all means.

When the forum is just created there will not be any members, therefore, you need some one to create posts but it is difficult to get posters. In a situation like this, creating multiple accounts on your weisbte will help.

According to the rules, any user is not permitted to have more than one account because that's a crime that can lead to ban. Having more than one account can make mistake occurs all time and you may be posting.

Even though I create multiple accounts when I am launching my forum, I do not allow multiple accounts form the users. This will create a fake discussion on the forum and I don't want that form happening.
