It was till yesterday one of my friend was thinking like if he updates the wordpress themes and all other addons along with wordpress platform itself as soon as the update comes, his websites can't get hacked.
But yesterday one hacker proved it wrong. There was some loop hole in one of the themes he installed and the hacker made use of that to gain access. All he was able to do was, changing the index.php contents. And that too of the theme.
It took sometime for me to figure it out as I was looking for any clues in the index.php from the root.
The hacker was kind enought not to destroy the whole website. For example, if that person was able to manage to get throught wp-config.php the entire site could have been compromised.
Anyway so are you concerned about your blog security?
If yes what all precautions have you taken? Any addons, or manual strengthening?
Or even outsourcing the website security?
These are the stuffs I have done with my blog:

These are the stuffs I have done with my blog:
- I have installed an addon called bulletproof security addon.
- Take backups each time I make a new post.
- Security checks via different websites such as sucuri.net
