There's a woman on tiktok who is building an underground tunnel under the house, she says the intent is to make a shelter I think, but she is doing this in a suburban area where there are neighbors near her. She is said to be causing many issues for the neighbors, mainly with sound pollution as she's literally mining her way through bedrock and other debris. Not only that, she's bringing up silica I think it is, which can cause respiratory issues if inhaled. The thing about all of this though, is she never got a permit to do this, and had recently received a stop order on her mining. You can see a video of her tunnel building here:
I was curious, if you got the required permits and did it all up to code, could you build a tunnel and or shelter under your own home to in turn add it towards your properties value?
