Emerging talent is a kind of talent that might be really important for a business. There are many people who may not recognise what kind of talent they may possess until or unless it is developed. This could be very important thing for a business as such kind of emerging talent might prove to be really useful for business. So, how to identify emerging talents and how it could be developed?

These days businesses do not want to take a risk by hiring someone who does not have any experience. YOu do not know how talented someone is without seeing him work and when you do not work, you do not have any experience.

Experience is a very big factor that most businesses look out for when it comes to hiring their workers. Entrepreneurs don't want to give any room for errors and that's why they need those with common experience in the job as their priority. They may hire someone without experience but the person's qualification will be very good.

I think that when it comes to emerging talent, businesses may need to consider other factors as well apart from experience. There might be many individuals who may not have enough experience at all. However, they may still have the right kind of abilities that could prove to be useful in the future.

Having an experience in something as well as being talented in that same thing is was going to give you an edge when it comes to delivering very well more than someone who only have talent without the experience in that aspect. This is the reason why experience is something that I always consider whenever I'm thinking about hiring someone that is going to work for me.

I agree with you on this. Firms should work on giving staff a chance to prove that they can handle a certain role. If you take a look at how so many things are done, you will realize that there are times that giving a staff a chance to handle a particular task can unearth their capacity in those roles.

This has made me always believed that it is possible until proven not to be possible.

I believe that the first steps companies have already taken when it comes to giving someone a chance to prove they can do something is by employing the person in the first place. This is because once you have been employed, that means that they expecting you to be able to carry out a particular duty that you have been delegated to do.

I would hire people right for the job. I think that resume will tell you a lot before you hire a person. Of course some people lie on their resumes and try to come out better than they are. But I think the best way to see talent grow, is to let them thrive in the environment, let them learn and master their skills. Soon enough you'll have talent that can be a future part of your company. Or they could end up becoming great talents who move on to other jobs.

It is always going to be in the best interest of your business or company to hire those that are best suited for the job because that is the only way you know that there is a guarantee of them delivering on the job which they have been hired to do.

In each department they have been assigned to work, they have the opportunity to put their skills in play and still get better on that job with supervision and monitoring.

It is quite hard to assess the actual talent of people before you hire them. When they become a part of your organisation, only then you will be able to recognise them. Some people may not have any experience related to the business. However, they develop skills by the passage of time and this makes them a very important asset for the company.

I have actually seen some companies that usually hire people and employee them on probation basis of one month. This is the time they are going to evaluate and assess the talent that you have when it comes to doing the job they are going to employ you.

The moment you have been able to complete your probation which they are still going to pay you, is what is going to determine if they are going to be hiring you full-time.

Well, they do try to hire people for a short term period. However, they have to pay the employee. They cannot use the employee and then discard them later. So, if a company wants to hire an employee on probation period, then sure they can. However, they must pay them the full amount of salary as they pay other employees.

Yeah, that's very correct. Their payment is always guaranteed as long as they completed their working probation period. It's now all up to the employees to deliver exactly as the company had expectations on them. It's the only way they would get the job full time.

I know of many companies that hire people on contract-basis. I once applied at such kind of company. However, after attending their training sessions, I disliked the kind of job they were offering. It was quite complicated. However, they could rehire workers if they want to do so.

The only thing that is important in this kind of work is that you are the person that will decide if you are going to continue working or not working which is now going to impact on the final decision of the company when it comes to retaining you finally after you have worked for the period that you are expected to.

When I visited a company, I found many ex-employees in that company. Those employees were reapplying for the job and I think that this is really weird because why would you have to go through all the process just to get hired once again? This is not how emerging talent should be treated.

Personally, I will not find it easy to go back seeking to be re-employed by a company that I used to work for. Whenever I leave anything, there's no way I would come back to it. Before I left, I must have made sure that wherever I would be going is going to have me more covered.

This is a personal choice of people. There were many people who gained experienced and unleashed their talent when they used to work in a company at a certain time. However, after gaining experience they may look for much better earning opportunities later on. This is also how emerging talents gain exposure to different working conditions.

Well, when you have any amount of pride in you, you will definitely find it very difficult to go back to any company that you have tendered in your resignation letter and left the job for sometime. There will definitely be so many other options that you can actually explore working for the companies you can find than going back to the company where you left.
