Why are experienced webmasters not valued in the internet sector?

In almost all other professions, experienced professionals like doctors, lawyers are making far more money than freshers. Only in the internet sector in some countries, experienced webmasters are not getting any kind of paid work, they are making very less money despite being very experienced in managing websites. Why are experienced webmasters not valued in the internet sector?
