There are a lot of internet domain names extensions like the .org , .net, .biz, .info, .io, .xyz, .com
Individuals tend to choose any of them for their websites, but I really want to know if there are certain things to consider before using any of the domain extensions.
Which of them is the best?

There is no best extension except I have seen that some domain names are even using .best extension which seems a good one to having to add a value for your website. .com seems mostly reserved so you can use .co domain also.

I think it's very subjective. Nonetheless, in the USA, if you're a commercial site, you might want to consider a .com above others - cause it's easier for people to remember. Nonetheless, though, that might not matter. For instance, people might be remembering stuff like Site.io. I don't really know,

Well, there is this feeling like .com is the "tuxedo" of extensions and professional, but again, it's so subjective. Are masses of people deterred from not seeing a .com?

.com is usually the best choice and will always be the winner because it’s the most trusted domain out here (more than 50% market share).

.com or .net seem to be the standard where nothing else seems to matter but that. I don't know what else to say about it. There's not much else I could say then to tell you that most people won't ever chose anything else.

I see .net in advertising sometimes, and rarely a .org. Basically, the other extensions are unheard of for businesses you might hear on TV or the radio. Anyway, .net I think was originally kind of like .tech. It was for techie stuff like hosting or web development.

As far as I know, for my own market and who I am trying to reach - the ideal is always going to be .com for me.

As mentioned though, you can make use of different extensions depending on your region, audience, and niche. It all depends!

.Com is the best extension hands down. No other extension can come close to it. It's better to have additional extensions to redirect your traffic to your primary website. The other famous extensions are .net, .co, .us, .org.

There is no such thing as the best domain extension, you can use any extension you want and still rank top on search engines. However, sometimes some domains look more appropriate for some kinds of sites. For example, dot com, dot net or even dot biz look good for a business website, instead of dot cool, dot fun, dot win, etc.
