When it comes to your blog, forum, or site - Where do you source the images you use?

I know there are paid options online as well as royalty-free. Some people just grab whatever they want off Google others might take their own pictures and make their own custom graphics. What do you typically do for your sites?

Generally i tend to make use of google and if it is something like a diagram then i will try to actually draw it out myself using a tool that can be used for drawing, such as paint or powerpoint and in this way i make sure that avoid any sense of copyright that may come up by the use of these images. Also i think that what is very important as well is that if you are using google that you make sure that there is a fair use policy for that image.

I prefer using high-quality and royalty-free images for my articles and blogs. I don't use google images because mostly they are not free. So, I use Pixabay and Unsplash for this purpose.

That is an interesting choice and these are two websites that i have not heard about before but i will be sure to check them out. Yes, i do find that when i am making use of the google images site that i will need to spend long periods of time in order to try and ensure that there is no copyright claim on an image and that can reduce your productivity quite substantially on that front.

I used to use PhotoPin I believe it was called. I think someone bought them and changed things out so they have a lot fewer free pictures on there which is unfortunate. I am working on using my own in the future. Investing in a new phone and camera.

That is the best way to go about it and to set up your own pictures, because that way you can also sell or copyright your pictures as well and this can be a good income source for you however this may require a lot of travel as well.

I usually get pictures from Pixabay and Pixel. These sites consist of a huge library of royalty-free photos. Sometimes I edit these photos on Canva to make more appealing to be used as feature image for my content
