Where do you get your backlinks from?

I do link exchanges often, which is quite good if you are doing a 3 way link exchanges!
Ohter than that, posting blog comments, using forum signaturs and sometimes buying links!

I've never bought a link, I think they're kind of pointless because Google devalues sites that sell them...

But what about buying links from personal blogs by emailing their admins?

My sites (I run a network of sites and some are pretty old), forums and blogs I post in. I don't buy traffic (don't need to anyway), so I'm slowly building up on these.
