When to moneotise?

When is the right time to monetise your site and why? At the start? When you've....?

I guess for blogs and all you could actually try putting ads right from the beginning itself. The good thing about this is, it helps you to keep the layout fixed. Some people doesnt like blogs with its layout changing every now and then. Anyway I don't think you will again any money from the start itself. Once you start to get atleast 100 unique visitors per day, you will start to earn. For forums it will be different.
