Unless there is a legal cause, I believe it is usually rude to inquire about someone's age (for instance, if a person is buying alcoholic liquor etc.) As a general guideline, you should avoid asking about someone's age if there is a chance of upsetting them.

personally, I don't see anything wrong in asking for one's age even though some people may not welcome the idea. I have also come across some people who will not waste time to tell you their age. Personally, I don't mind telling people my age. It is just my opinion. thanks for sharing.

You cannot just come up to ask a person his age,even if you are in a serious discution with the the person,except the situation demands,the situation really calls for it,then it would be ok.

Lolz. Is there a specific time in someone's life to ask for age? I guess no. This question seems rhetorical though some working environments will need to know the age of an employee before employing the person due to strength and lifespan check but it is not a reliable yardstick for their reasons of doing so.

You don't just walk to people and ask them their age because it's ridiculous, you can always ask one his or her age when you've established friendship with the person or you can get to know someone age when it is something required for any formal meeting, engagement or business.

I am not the type that share out my secrets to anybody, I see my age as a secrets ,my age can be my security settings , that's why I don't tell people my age. They can use it as something else.

As long as you have a good relationship with someone i don't see anything wrong with inquiring about their age. I don't mind telling people my age, i get to see their reaction when i do so.

I don't like to ask someone about their age. I just make estimates or guessing about someone age. During events or special occasions like birthdays or in the burial of someone, there is a tendency to ask about their age. How old are they?

I don't mind responding to questions about my age, really. I've learned that it is inappropriate to ask people about their age. However, there are situations where the age question just flows naturally that you'll end up asking another person's age and the person responds normally.

Wow the first time I started earning was when I was 17 year old back then in secondary school. I usually tutor my junior colleagues on mathematics then when most of them perform well, the gist there parents on visiting days and there parents usually settle me with some little amount to motivate me. That was how I started my first earning.
