One of the biggest reasons why it's very important to get your business customers contact details or phone number is for the purpose of getting feedback from them about the products they have purchased.

Have you ever had a particular business customer who would never be willing to release their contact details and would even want to create a scene because you asked for their contact details?

How do you deal with such weird customers?

I have seen many businesses asking customers to drop their contact details. They do this due to many reasons. They use customer's details to promote offers and their products through mobile marketing techniques. A customer may not be obliged to provide contact details, though. They may be concerned about business's privacy policies.

You're allowed to request that info, but sometimes customers aren't required to give that info up. They can give you any shipping info, and any name, at least in the states.

Customers should only have to include payment details and their shipping address. I don't think customers owe it to us to give us their name or phone number. Phone numbers in terms of shipping, is usually meant for the shipper and not the business.

But yeah, as long as a customer gives you an address to send product to, that's all you really need.

I believe that everything bothers down to how a customer feel about their privacy when it comes to being asked to drop their contact details because there are some people who are so paranoid when it comes to being anxious about their privacy. It's going to be impossible for them to release their details for any reason whatsoever which is why they prefer to come and buy whatever they want to buy in person and take it home.

I know that many customers may be quite anxious or even paranoid. In such kind of cases, it is much better to never force them to offer their contact details in the first place. This will make them more suspicious and they may even stop visiting your business place.

I do not see any problems when a customer refuses to drop a contact number. People want privacy, and a phone number is their private contact, therefore, it is perfectly understandable why they don't want to share their number. I don't pester my customers, if they willingly drop their number, that's fine, if they don't, I do not have any issue

I think that a business is certainly not entitled to collect personal details of customers, considering the fact that many scammers usually use such kind of details in a bad manner. They may scam you and try to convince you that they are legit. they may already have a lots of details about you. People must be aware of such kind of scammers and never share personal details with anyone.

There are so many ways to kill a rat. You don't need to worry about it too much whenever any of your customers refuse to give out their contact when asked. You can prepare a survey which they will fill and provide the information without you pleading for it. You can ask they full a document for upcoming bonuses and discount sales to get the information you need.

You shouldn't get your customers contact details for that purpose and I doubt I will even release mine if I were to be a customer. If you want the review of your products them you will have to create an online store or page for your business.

Most customers are not willing to drop their personal details because they are scared most times as they maybe used for scam. Though it could be optional. Though it is another of promoting your business..

It is not mandatory for customers to drop their personal information and I think that pushing them to do so would just make the customer more suspicious about your business, especially if your business does not have a good privacy policy and if your business is not regulated.

I will never pressurise any of my customers for their personal contact. If they don't want to give it when asked politely, I won't put any pressure on them. It's a sign they are not interested in being loyal to my business.
