What's your opinion on buying new devices with old specifications?

There is always an upgrade in many devices that we use such as the laptops, the mobile devices and the rest. If you found a nice device that is new at a great rate but the old model, would you consider spending your money to have it? Let's say buying the Nokia 3310, for example.
