What's the most amount of uses you had on your forum in one day?

I think the most I had on one forum at a time was around 5000 or so visitors in a single hour. I believe it was from a giveaway we hosted years ago, where we got a ton of signups, entries and so on. Sadly most of them weren't our users and just signed up for said giveaway, in turn resulting in not many people sticking around. Which is another thing, giveaways aren't good for gaining traffic, or keeping them around.

Since opening Chat Addicts again quite a few months ago, the most I had on in any one day was 19 which with it being a newer forum, was good for me.

I have not beat that user amount yet within one day but I hope in time I will and continue to see it climb.

I don't see the need for any forum owner to bother much about it, too, as long as you are able to have some of these sign ups being active on the forum. Their activeness is what I am going to look at and be glad when I notice that a new user is active.

Well, you have to be bothered when you're not getting enough sign ups in your forum because when you don't have a good number of users signing up, it's a very clear indication that your forum is going to struggle for a decent level of activity.

I once had 8,000 visitors in a single day on my forum. I think those visitors were not human but bots because the average visit duration was just 10 seconds. I also received a lot of sign up that day but more than 99 percent posts were spams.

Someone was trying to hack your forum or DDoS attack or crash your forum hosting. If your forum didn't build up naturally to reach the stage of having 8k visitors in a single day, someone is using blackhat tricks against you.
