I have read quite a lot of stories of teenagers getting anxious, depressed and lonely as a result of spending most of their time on screens and as a result of being bullied online. Hence, it means we need to balance, create an appropriate life-work balance, and practice offline activities that can help us to relax.

It depends on how you are using it. I have been active on multiple social sites since 2012 and I have never been depressed or stressed out due to social media. In fact I have found social media to be quite liberating. I not only use for work but also use it for entertainment and connect with friends and family. But I do understand that sometimes it can be hard on young people
